I just got a new book in the mail…
And it’s What Makes a Lake? Tracing Movement, published by Another Earth.

Another Earth, a publishing project created by artists Abbey Meaker, Cristian Ordóñez, and Estefania Puerta, is one of my favorite publications in the art world and I am honored–to say the least–to have a photograph of mine published in it. Also, being in the same book as a favorite photographer of mine (Jared Ragland) and an old friend (Sarah Phenix) is pretty fuckin’ cool if you ask me!
“What Makes a Lake? Tracing Movement brings together the work of more than 80 artists to create a portrait of Earth’s lakes, rivers, and oceans. This collection of images and text offers an intimate experience of places that we hope create a new connection to and commitment for caring for our most vulnerable ecosystems. In exploring an expanded scope of lakes around many different communities, we see how all these bodies of water are not isolated but rather flowing in and out of one another, reminding us how much our impact ripples out. What changes can be made with new awareness?”
So cool to see you in this publication. I was bummed I missed the memo that they opened this book up bodies of water from anywhere when it was originally about one lake. I'll need to get myself a copy of this, thank you for the reminder and congrats my dude!
