For most of 2023–as I’m sure some of you have noticed–I have been documenting the local riparian landscapes along the Lower American River. These hidden gems are the perfect escape from my day-to-day routine as they help me stay grounded and inspired. And after hundreds of photographs throughout countless hikes along these trails, I decided to narrow down the collection and choose some favorites to place in a small field book for myself as a way to commemorate this hidden world..

lastly, I wanted to thank
for inspiring me to do some DIY bookmaking for this project. I had never put together a book like this and to be honest, it felt so freeing and rewarding. Plus, my sequencing and curation skills feel a little more fine-tuned now. 2024 will be a year of more prints and handmade projects..—
This looks fantastic! Well done. If you should ever print a zine - I would love to have a copy!
Love this. Seeing the photos while having the soundtrack of chirping birds in the background is such a great touch. And great to see a bit of your DIY bookmaking too.
Keep up the great work this year, and I hope your creativity will continue to flourish.
